Water Cycle Bangles.

In this simple and visual activity, students learn how much water is on the planet and where it is stored.

In this activity, students create a miniature terrarium that demonstrates the different phases of the water cycle. They identify the four basic elements (soil, water, sun light, and air) needed for plant/animal/human survival and learn the importance of water as one of the four elements and the importance of having healthy water, soil, and air. Students will build an interactive model of the water cycle in Hopscotch. Hopscotch provides a unique opportunity for students to practice the skills of visualizing a complex system and using logic and problem solving to determine how to make an interactive model that is scientifically accurate. This lesson assumes that students have little to no experience coding in Hopscotch, but are prepared to create a model of the water cycle.
