The book "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" as well as its film adaptations will serve as a trigger for this LES. It aims to get students to reinvest the information acquired on different weather phenomena by producing a wacky weather report using the Tellegami, My Talking Avatar or Voki applications. During production, students may be invited to use other technological tools to create a timeline, learn about natural disasters, review specialized meteorology vocabulary and answer a quiz.

What Happened to the Drama Teacher?

In this scenario, students will reinvest information to write a narrative in order to produce a digital story. Students will become a potential suspect in an investigation. They will personify a suspect and produce a statement about what happened to the drama teacher. In teams of 2-3, students will brainstorm their version of the events that took place by using information given to them on a suspect card.They will : -Write a text (testimony) about the event. -Plan a digital story with a storyboard. -Produce a digital story with a tablet. -Listen to the different testimonies. -Decide who is guilty, and write down arguments to support their decision.
