In this project, students create a class photobook, each student having to compose a photo in which they would appear and shoot a photo that included one of their classmates. They take inspiration in the structure and features of alphabet books. Thus, each student will represent a letter of the alphabet in their photograph.

Photography is one example of a visual text that can be used to teach media literacy and critical thinking. When students interpret or create photographs they better understand how visual language works and the constructed nature of all texts. One of the priorities of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is the protection of marginalized children at risk in the world.
