Ukraine : The Battle Against Poverty.

In 2005, more than fifty countries participated in a political lobbying campaign called "Make Poverty History". The campaign demands that the leaders of the world do more to fulfill their promises concerning poverty elimination. The students are invited to read the information presented and then to write an opinion letter demanding political leaders to fulfill their promise to reduce world poverty. Some cuban and canadian organizations have for several years been supporting an electrification project for schools and medical clinics in remote areas of Cuba.
